I started my apprenticeship as an auto electrician in 1976 in a British Leyland and Rolls Royce franchise. This meant a great deal of experience on Land Rover, Jaguar, Rolls Royce and of course Austin Morris. (Ah! The Marina and the Allegro!) A few years later I went to work in South Africa for a couple of years in a Volkswagen dealership. Since then I have fitted mobile phones, had my own business as an auto electrician, worked as a service receptionist and workshop manager and spent a long time with BMW.
These days I work as an AA Patrol. A job I have loved doing for 11 years now.
My experience as an auto electrician led me to helping a friend restore some of his collection of classic cars and vans. This has now blossomed into a regular hobby and I currently help to look after the collection of Morris J-Type vans that you can see in these pages.
I also enjoy designing websites which has helped in the creation of this site and also enjoy photography.
